It’s a long & exhausting trip, and it’s not getting any easier. The Indy to Dublin route opened after I booked, or I’d have at least tried that, to take out an airport and some time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For some reason, the host\/server at the hotel restaurant was singing Julio Iglecias (?) songs to himself, and seemed to want to discuss them? Not really the breakfast I had planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m going to call the sweatpants as flight attire experiment a qualified success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Definitely more comfortable than jeans, but also right on the edge of being too warm; When I first put them on in the airport I was concerned that I’d have to change back, because they were really warm compared to shorts. Fortunately, that faded as I got used to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pocket situation was an issue, so if I were to try this again, I’d probably want sweatpants with cargo pockets which close, so I could be confident that my phone or wallet or e-reader would stay put.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because of flight times I didn’t get significantly tired until almost at Dublin, which wasn’t ideal. Watched a few movies or parts thereof along the way. Dozed a little between Dublin & Heathrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I may be misremembering, but I don’t think anybody looked at my passport on arrival; I collected my bag, went through the honour system section for customs, and that was it. Free to go to get a coffee and try to wake up a bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think the last time someone looked at my passport was boarding the plane in Dublin, which is unusual, maybe? <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Got a reasonably easy run on the trains, which I was glad of; Enough of a gap to calmly walk between them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cricket Things had to happen on Sunday, and I tagged along. No actual cricket was played, this was grounds stuff. ( The uninvolved parties got a coffee & stayed far away )<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
