I’ve played the Fate version of this game before, where at least some <\/em>of the comedy-horror was unintentional on my part; When escaping from a swarming bug\/microbe in a vehicle with a cracked windscreen, it makes sense to stop it from getting in through the cracks, and what we had was lab cleaning equipment, so we ended up in a tense race to safety with my character leaning over from the back seat to squirt raw alcohol from a plant mister onto anything that got in.
Effective, yes.
But also deeply silly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the actual original game, and I’m assuming that the character name ‘Berk’ doesn’t have the same meanings in the USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a setting where consciousness can be stored and transmitted and transferred, and we all had pretty kick-ass robot bodies.
But the problem was on a non-responsive ship somewhere out by Jupiter, so we’d need to be transmitted there, into some high-end bodies kept on board the ship for just such an occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yeah, about that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We woke up in janitorial scrub-bots at the arse end of the ship, discovered that the front of the ship was overrun by some kind of alien virus\/entity, and that the ship’s AI was a few steps off a total mental breakdown.
Given that our resources were basic cleaning supplies, and its resources were everything else except for some very scared pirates, we went with the “Ship Go Boom” strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But I did <\/strong>arm myself with a mop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GM wrote the scenario, and wanted to actively use the body-swap aspect of the game in a scenario, because she felt it didn’t get used very often.
It was certainly effective as a “well that’s not good” indicator.
That said, so was practically every other part of the scenario.
In janitorial bot bodies in a cargo container? Not good.
Ship Network down? Not good.
Mass of techno-virus somewhere up towards the bridge? Not good.
