Queenstown to Dunedin to Christchurch

That was a really long day of sitting on a bus.

The same bus went all the way, but it was scheduled as two separate trips, so I had to collect & then re-check the big bag. It was by no means a bad trip, but I’m glad I paid the few extra dollars for a better seat, and I was glad when it was finally over. 12 hours start to finish, so maybe 10½ hours of bus travel in total?

I’d had the idea that I could use the game console to kill time, but … Too bumpy for that, at least in the first leg. So I finished listening to a podcast, read for a bit, fell asleep a number of times; The usual bus travel stuff.

Queenstown did look pretty as we departed though.

Of course, it took a bit of careful framing to make those pictures happen; Otherwise it’d be obvious that I’m in a gravel carpark surrounded by construction.

The little coffee trailer across the road did good work though, and were doing a pretty good business.

Ettrick again. This time I spotted the chalet accommodation, mostly because I’d packed a lunch, so was wandering around eating it because I didn’t want to take outside food into the café.

Misc. scenic. I actually have no idea where this is.

Oamaru Railway Station & various bits of coastline which look a bit like the terrain in the game I’ve been playing recently, Caravan SandWitch – Abandoned equipment and sea-cliffs.

( Still Oamaru ) The EV chargers were decorated to be at least reminiscent of the church across the road.

And then more scenic.
