What’s Over There?

I had a day where I didn’t feel like doing anything big, so instead I took one of the (free) ferries out to the west a bit, to see what was out there.

Turns out to be the NDSM Cultural Centre. Used to be shipbuilding yards, and was eventually redeveloped as an arts & culture space. A lot of cafes & restaurants, a giant manufacturing shed that had been renovated into a bunch of workspaces, …

It wasn’t very occupied or busy while I was there; a few people around, and a few of the workspaces open, but most were closed.

If this is the place I think it is, there are hotel rooms within those letters
Amusingly, there were some folks down an alleyway on Kingsday having a sing along to “Yellow Submarine”

The hotel breakfast area had approximately a billion people in it, so I wandered into the older bits of Amsterdam & found a place which sold me a ham+cheese tosti & poffertjes (mini pancakes)
