Friday: Psychic Trash Detectives

Today’s game was Psychic Trash Detectives, and it was great; Immediately went out & bought the game.

I probably could have used the afternoon more effectively, but I had fun, so I’m happy with it.

Got down to the stadium just to see it, and picked up a few things for myself & others at the Hall Of Wallet Emptying. Also picked up the VIG swag & lugged it back to my room.

I find I have to do the Vendor area in a series of short visits; It’s such an assault on the senses, and so crowded, that after a while I just want out.

Had dinner with a huge group of people, and a Nerdprov Live show in the evening. Both of these were fun.

Foggy this morning; Can barely see the next hotel, and the river is entirely missing.

The trash did actually play a part in the game, mostly as a prompting object, though we did use the newspaper to sketch out locations.

Description of the mood of the crime created a word at a time by the players
Artwork in the lobby of the Hilton; I just thought it was neat.
A gigantic amount of VIG swag, almost none of which I can keep

Between the dinner and the Nerdprov show I wandered through various bits of the ICC, including the Czech Games rooms, where I saw this. Almost certainly not my kind of thing, but the artwork & concept are interesting.

There was also a “make a potion” thing for the game Little Alchemists, which was largely a theatre bit with a cauldron prop, but very fun – The guy running it really leaned into his bit despite it being a group of five adults.

  1. Another awesome day.

  2. That art is begging to laid on to the actual map to then find where the treasure is. Problem is you havent found the 500 year old clues.

  3. Wowwww the pile of trash seems amazing, as does the game!
