Something they’ve added in the past year or so is a couple of hobbit hole interiors. Not used in the films, but built by the Weta folks who made the interior sets.
They divided the group in two for space reasons, because 30 people in one of those would have been annoying.
There was a huge amount of detail in the place, and most stuff could be interacted with. Jumping back to the last post, where I was wondering about the idea of a campground or distributed hotel like this, I suspect that what would draw people in would be rooms like this, but the level of detailed clutter would probably be really annoying to actually live in, even for a night. I’ve certainly stayed in the odd AirBnB or hotel where the décor & stuff made it difficult to actually use the space.
Because there’s always something to read in the toilet. Unless that’s for other, more fundamental uses?
I stayed at a hostel in Chicago with beds of this general design, though they were less fantasy themed than this.
That was an actual fire in the fireplace – Got mentioned in the health & safety briefing.
This, I think, was the point where we moved to the second part of the house, the kitchen/dining area, and I started giving up on trying to avoid getting other people in the photos.
Wasn’t actually trying to capture the woman in the appropriate costume, but that’s just what happened. Shed worn it for the occasion.
