I’m dividing this day into chunks, because it’s mostly photographs.
Also, seriously; I have never heard that movie mentioned so many times as on this bit of the tour. Though UN Guy mentioned that he’d never seen the movies, but enjoyed the games.
Something I hadn’t realised is that they’re not planning to leave it like this. Eventually, when reconstruction gets to the right point (or funding level) the trees growing through the structure will be removed so that they can rebuild it as it was 1000 years ago.

So even 20 years later they are still making a big thing out of the tombraider movie.
I enjoyed watching it at the time. Also was nice having a female action lead which was highly unusual back then.
Those trees are incredible! I hope they don’t get the money to rebuild …
It’s an interesting dilemma for them, I suspect. It’s such an amazing image, but the trees are slowly tearing the place apart
