I went back to Sexy Coffee, to get a sense of just how sexy it is.
I think it’s mostly the marble & marble-effect decor, and though the branded coffee cups (and takeaway cups) are distinctive, I wouldn’t call them ‘sexy’. Coffee was good, but not great, I’d say.

I found the river, mostly by wandering downhill.

My usual exploration tactic of “what’s that” led me into a mall that looked from a distance like that glass pyramid thing outside the Louvre(?), which eventually led to a coffee shop in an old building flanked by very modern-looking subway entrances.

View from my hotel room at night.

So lovely! And you wander – that’s the best way to discover and how I do it when I travel.
Eventually I have to do more planned stuff, but when I first arrive, I love taking a wander to see what I can see.
