The internal layout of the hotel is a bit odd, but I’ve found that with a lot of Travelodges I’ve stayed at. This one has the stairs off the side of the lift lobby, but also has this door to the outside.
There’s a railing in front of it, so nobody will use it by accident, but … It’s not what you’d call ‘securely locked’. Near as I can tell there’s no fire escape or anything out there.
We’re on the tenth floor.

Went to the Gallery of Modern Art; I didn’t see, or expect to see, everything, but I wandered through a few galleries, saw an exhibit on “safety safe boxes“, and a 1¼h Audiovisual exhibit on Colonial Soldiers in WW1 (John Akomfrah – Mimesis: African Soldier)
The African Soldier exhibition was very good; Projected onto three screens, with a mix of archival footage & recent video. There was a sense of loss & abandonment running through it, which … Makes sense. Also some moments of fun & joy.
There were some warnings, or maybe pieces of advice, on the promotional postcards, suggesting resources & services available if you found the material upsetting or detrimental to your mental health, which I thought was a nice thing to do. I personally found it oddly calming, but I’d been pretty agitated & twitchy beforehand, so sitting in a darkened room actually helped – For someone with a more personal connection to it, I can see it having a different sort of effect.

Glasgow looks amazing and I really like the pics. The angled pic from your hotel room is very cool.
That one came out better than I could have hoped – The light from the shop in particular.
