The sea of orange disappeared by midday. Maybe earlier, but there was little sign of it by midday.
I’d gone to bed a a fairly sensible time, I thought, so I went for a walk in the morning, using my standard “where does this canal go?” system for situations where I don’t really have a plan. Turns out it went to a nice walking and cycling path which eventually got to Noordpark.

Went to get lunch with one of the hostel dorm folks (??? from Venezuela) at a place which did good burgers incredibly slowly. “Are they raising the cow?” slowly. So that might explain why there was plenty of seating available, unlike some of the previous spots along that road.
In the afternoon I did a tourist thing; A’DAM Lookout. It’s only 20 stories tall, but Amsterdam is very flat, so you can see a really long way.

They have lights in the elevator shaft & a glass roof, so it’s a fun introduction to the space. Didn’t get time to get a photo though. The building is (now) a space for music/creative stuff, and apparently there’s a ‘disco elevator’ for multi floor events.
