While in Michigan I got to try a s’more, and had conversations about the appropriate sizing of marshmallow to cracker, which led on to conversations about making tiny little s’mores using those mini-marshmallows, if you could find the appropriate size of cracker. Which it turns out SouthWest have already done.

It was a double flight hop from Seattle to Indy, leaving late in the evening, so I got as much sleep as I could overnight. It wasn’t much though.

There was a game day on Saturday which ended up running until about midnight.

You’re placing leaves to score points, and there are a lot of parallel mechanics going on. The issue we found is that without some kind of non-slip mat under it, it’s easy to push leaves out of alignment by accident.
Something I liked is that all of the parallel scoring mechanics do matter, and they all end up turning into the same “how many acorns is it worth” system at the end.

Some of us liked this, others really didn’t, and we didn’t even get through one round of play; There were many arguments over rules.
The position of the alien in this game is abstracted, and that fact, plus the specific details of how certain cards dealing with that abstracted position, really needed to be explained better. I’d like to play it again, or maybe through, but I think some of that group wouldn’t touch it because they hated the idea that the position of the alien isn’t defined at the start of the game.

Last man standing brawler game; A lot of fun, in a “Ha Ha Fuck You” kind of way.
Everyone gets their own themed deck of cards, so your characters attacks & abilities make sense for them.
There are the inside cats. There are the outside cats, who are maybe considering becoming inside cats. And then there are the Trash Pandas, who appreciate the food and take the bowls for as yet unknown reasons.
