I was trying to keep a very chilled day, and didn’t want to be in Stafford all by myself, so I figured I’d go to London, given that I’d need to be there anyway the next day. It turned out that my friend K. also had the day off, so we decided to go do London Things.
The original plan was Camden Markets, because I’d never been there (had to look it up, but I was confusing it with Covent Garden, which I have been to) , and then the Tate Modern, where I’ve also never been. The plan didn’t quite work out that way, but it probably made for a better day.

We took the train & the tube to Camden. Turns out I’ve been to Camden before, to go to a concert, but it looks very different when the whole street seems to be a market of some kind. There was even what looked like a container mall at one point.
Then I got told that this is just the Camden High Street, not the actual market, which is built around the locks & through the warehouses, so it has a whole bunch of branching passages. Wandered through the Jewellery & Antique markets almost by accident, and then got Mac&Cheese for breakfastlunch from one of the food vendors.
Yes, Mac&Cheese can be a breakfast food. Stop being difficult.
Found out that K had never been to Greenwich, at which point we decided to go there instead. Went to the DLR stop just the other side of the river, then walked under the Thames through the old pedestrian tunnel, because how often do you get the chance to walk under a river?
Went to Greenwich Market, of course, and there was this stall with mini-pancakes, see, so really we had no choice.

I’d had them from a hotel breakfast buffet in Amsterdam, but fresh made? So much better.
