Scalpel, your signal is breaking up….Say again?
Hello?…
We’re loosing you…..
Come in Scalpel….
Just listening to this one now and I’m wondering if in the intervening months anyone has thought of a GUMSHOE hack for the detectives idea. As the intro for every GUMSHOE game I’ve read says, the game isn’t about *finding* the clues, it’s about *interpreting* the clues once you find them.
The whole setup Tonya proposed is very reminiscent of the movie Murder By Death (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074937/), which had parodies of Charlie Chan, Miss Marple, Sam Spade and a few other famous detectives all invited to a mansion for dinner. They quickly find themselves investigating the murder of their host, and much hilarity ensues.
I may have seen that film – It’s certainly very familiar-sounding, particularly the deaf-mute cook. I seem to remember a comedy bit with a sign?
It took me a little while to remember this one, but I’ve got it now; Gumshoe does sound like a good candidate, from what I’ve heard.
