On the advice/recommendation of a friend, I went to see this, not really knowing what to expect.
I’d been jabbed with a number of needles that day, with both a blood draw for testing, because my GP rather liked the idea, and a couple of vaccinations, because Hepatitis & Rabies really do suck and are worth avoiding.
It’s a bit more “art exhibition” than I was expecting from a museum, I’ll admit, but I enjoyed the hell out of it.
Yes, I did do the scavenger hunt, but I did it backwards after walking through the gallery.
In a Big Red Couch episode with the prompt “Ruins Of The Ancients”, I pitched an exploration game where the descendants of folks miniaturised in a too-late attempt to avoid environmental collapse are exploring a world that’s new to them but familiar to us as the oversized wreckage of our own. ( Yes, I’ve seen Downsizing )
This isn’t what I’d imagined, but it’s in the same ballpark. This is maybe what the children or grandchildren of the folks I was imagining might have built.
You can’t really see the details, but the VW folk here have been extracting oil/fuel to run their (somewhat Mad Max 2 inspired) society, it’s running out, and they’ve got a revolution on their plastic hands.
Also, there’s someone with an off-grid solar setup doing quite nicely down by that tyre.
