Love you guys, but I almost dropped out of listening to this episode. The first 10 minutes and the last 7-8 minute have a horrible, tinny echoing in the background. Sounds like an artifact from too-aggressive noise gate processing, like you get if you run the noise removal tool in Audacity too high.
Thanks for the message! We had trouble with processing out really loud cicada noise, so hopefully it won’t be a common feature of the show.
