    It occurs to me that the muse liberation idea could be run from the other side. Read “muse” as “bound spirit yearning to be a free spirit” and it almost becomes just another shadowrun.

    Although the things required to complete the job could be downright esoteric. An astral quest to *un*summon a spirit, perhaps? (And, of course, that last sentence is almost completely opaque if you aren’t familiar with Shadowrun.)

      Worryingly, perhaps, that last sentence of yours made total sense to me, despite not having played the game this century.

      I’m curious about what might happen once the bound spirit becomes free.
